Hello My Name is Mechell and thank you for visiting my store,

People have always said to me, "Mechell you always be doing the most."

And honestly…they were right.

My love for creating a beautiful home started long before Do The Most for Home. I learned to sew from my grandmother, Mildred, and I grew up watching my mom, Chanell, fill our home with bold furnishings, beautiful oil lamps, and unique pieces that were often too big for the space. But that never deterred her. They brought her joy, and she loved being different. She created a home that felt uniquely hers. Those early influences stayed with me and grew into my love for interior design, distinctive home finishes, and the little details that give a home personality.

I was the one who couldn't help but decorate for every holiday, create beautiful tablescapes, and pay attention to every little detail. Whether I was setting the table for my husband and daughters, welcoming family for the holidays, or inviting friends into our home, I wanted every person who walked through my door to feel welcomed, appreciated, and to feel the extension of my love in all the details.

But sometimes, the pieces I found in stores just weren't bold or unique enough for me. I wanted the table runner in my dining room to coordinate with the pillows in my living room. I wanted napkins with two colors instead of one, or a table runner finished with beautiful fringe. I wanted the freedom to mix fabrics, colors, textures, and details to create something that felt personal and different.

That desire to create something uniquely my own is at the heart of Do The Most for Home. Each pillow cover and table runner is individually cut and hand sewn in my workspace, bringing together the sewing tradition passed down to me and my lifelong love of creating beautiful spaces.

I created Do The Most for Home to inspire you to celebrate the everyday moments, not just the holidays, because the ordinary days often become our most treasured memories.
